Frequently asked questions
Is AIMP6 a new media format?
No. AIMP6 is an AI media processor. It converts, compresses, transcribes and summarizes existing formats rather than replacing MP3, MP4, WebM or any other container.
Are files uploaded for every tool?
No. Tier 1 tools run in the browser through FFmpeg.wasm, Canvas, WebCodecs-compatible APIs and Web Audio. Cloud and AI tools explicitly show storage and retention before processing.
What happens to AI media after processing?
Free cloud jobs are designed for 24-hour retention and Pro jobs for seven days. R2 lifecycle rules provide automatic expiration, and users can manually delete files from the dashboard.
Can I use TTS to clone anyone’s voice?
AIMP6 does not support unauthorized voice cloning. TTS jobs require an authorization confirmation and must not be used for deceptive deepfakes, fraud or impersonation.
